Roger Fenton(1819-1869)was one of the most important British photographers of the 19th century.In 1853 he was commissioned by the British Museum to photograph a range of the objects in order to make a visual record of its collection.These photographs of the Museum galleries were originally produced as stereoscopic views.I have had access to some rarely seen photographs and hence uniquely visually available.These shown some that are exhibited.I have not included Crimean War photographs.
